Mike Kipp has a record of mission-critical achievements secured as a corporate director, State Commissioner, CEO and advisor to companies that want to “define and secure their preferred future”. He is an exceptional communicator who can navigate complexity, refine business models and promote collaboration across stakeholders

Mike was New York State’s deputy commissioner for mental health, director of marketing for HCA and president of both Signature Health Alliance and Premerus Diagnostic Accuracy, gen one managed care firms known for innovations in bundled payments and the application of ‘lean’ to the treatment process

An advisor to CEOs and governing boards, Mike has also been a principal in businesses as diverse as health care, banking, commercial building services and technology.   He was an organizer and director of American Home Bank and a director of the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship. He is currently a director of Insparisk, a safety inspection company, chairman of Atlas Bank and a director of Hope International Capital Corporation, an investment vehicle for scaling Hope’s microfinance initiatives in 14 of the poorest nations of the world.

Mike has written for Emerald Press’ Handbook of Business Strategy and McGraw Hill’s Handbook of Consulting based on his role in the development of IBM’s consulting skills program. He has authored “Seven Mindsets in Strategic Governance”, “The Accidental Leader”, “Mapping the Business Innovation Process”, “Governing Boards at the Crossroads”, “Frameworks for Board Development”, “Strategy and the Board” and “Rethinking the Non Profit Board”.

A member of the National Speaker’s Association, the National Association of Corporate Directors and the Association for Strategic Planning, Mike presents at business retreats and professional gatherings. He has chaired the innovation track at the World Congress on Health, Human Capital and Wellness, led AMA’s Management Course for Presidents and presented Confronting Crises of Spirit at the Oxford University Conference on Leadership and Social Values.

A graduate of St. Anselm College, Mike holds a Master’s from Syracuse University and is a product of the Columbia University Program for Advanced Practitioners in Organization Development. He is currently a Managing Director with Newport Board Group and an affiliate of the Educator’s Network.
